About Me

Dr. Wisdom is a seasoned Licensed Mental Health Counselor with nearly 20 years of experience in the field. With a Doctor of Psychology in Grief Counseling and a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology, Dr. Wisdom has dedicated ther career to exploring the depths of human emotions and relationships.

From her early days as a Jail Counselor and Hospital Diversion Specialist to a significant role as Director of Quality and Risk Management in a psychiatric hospital, Dr. Wisdom’s journey has been rich with diverse experiences. As a Designated Crisis Responder, she’s provided critical support in emergency settings, honing skills that blend empathy with practical solutions.

Now, in her private practice, Dr. Wisdom focuses on direct client interaction and leads insightful trainings and retreats on improving intimate relationships and mental well-being. As the host of The Wisdom of… with Dr. Wisdom, she brings a unique blend of professional expertise, personal warmth, and humor to discussions about intimacy, relationships, and sexual health.

Dr. Wisdom's podcast explores complex topics with clarity, compassion, and a touch of humor. It aims to empower listeners with knowledge and practical advice for their personal lives.

Her educational background and training encompass Grief Counseling, Sex and Couples Counseling, Gottman Level II, Polyvagal, EMDR CBT, DBT, and the Emotional Freedom Technique. She actively pursues additional training and certifications to enhance her expertise.
